Fernanda Rojas Ampuero

Welcome! I am an applied economist working at the intersection between development, public, and economic history. I am currently an Assistant Professor in Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Faculty Research Fellow at the NBER.

During 2022-2023 and Fall 2025, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from UCLA in 2022, and a BA and MA in Economics from PUC-Chile.
